After a four-year absence from the music world, Adele is back. In an open letter announcing the release of her new album, “25,” she explained why she was gone for so long, and how her music will be different.
She says that her 2011 album, “21,” (which was the best-selling album of the decade) was a break-up album, whereas this is a “make-up album,” and about what it’s like to be in your mid-20s.
“25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising. And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened,” she wrote.
